Guillaume graduated in 2005 from the University of Geneva Law School, after having spent a year at the University of Zurich Law School. After working as an associate for Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva, Guillaume graduated from Columbia University, New York (LL.M. 2011). He then joined Schellenberg Wittmer as an associate. He joined Jacquemoud Stanislas as a partner on January 2021 and graduated in 2022 from the Institut d'études Immobilières (Master degree) in Geneva (Prix La Foncière).

Guillaume was Mayor of Geneva in 2016-2017.

Guillaume was elected as a member of the Swiss National Council (Swiss Parliament) from January 2013 to December 2019. He has been a member of the Legal Affairs as well as Economic and Taxation Committees. In November 2012, Guillaume was elected at the City of Geneva's government. He was in charge of the Department for Environment and Security Affairs until June 2020. Guillaume has been recognized as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2015.

Guillaume's main areas of practice include Real Estate, Infrastructure and Construction Law, Government and Regulatory Affairs as well as Private Clients. 

He is a member of the Geneva Bar Association. 

He is board member of the Fondation pour la promotion du logement bon marché et de l'habitat coopératif.
